Emily Marci

mA in Global Leadership and sustainable development, Hawai’i pacific university, 2018

Emily is an environmentalist with interests in sustainable development, climate change, food systems, and grassroots activism. Her Masters research focused on tourist behavior and the effectiveness of eco-management strategies. Emily’s experience in Central America with renewable energy systems spurred a passion to help bridge the gap between environmental science and community understanding. She has worked with environmental organizations around the world- from the corporate sector to the nonprofit sphere- to address and transform systemic change. Emily is pleased to join the faculty at Wildlands Studies and lead the Spring 2021 Hawai'i Program.
